The List of Firsts

Well...let's celebrate...first of all, let's celebrate the official FIRST day of my summer vacation...yes, that's right...I made it through another school year and my FIRST summer with my little tot has begun...

To start the FIRST day of my summer...here's a list of some FIRST accomplishments for Luke..

FIRST days of sitting up...Luke is sitting up very well now...here are a few pictures of his sitting up success...

Two weeks ago, my mom ("the memaw" - who happens to be a lifeguard)and I took Luke to the pool for his FIRST day in the water...he LOVED it...here's a few pictures of his FIRST pool day...he not only loved the water, but he loved watching the big boys jump off the diving board...we will be spending a lot of time at the pool this summer, so I'm glad he enjoys it...

And, the award for the FIRST favorite food goes to....GREEN BEANS!!! After trying all the "clean" white foods like bananas, pears, apples and having no success, I tried some dirty, dark green beans and he loved them. Here's a few pictures of the green bean disaster...

(side note - this picture was taken about two weeks ago...he is now eating bananas, pears, and apples and is staying much cleaner). :)

And...just for your enjoyment...here are a few more pictures of Luke...this next one is one of my all time favorites...

You will notice that these are all taken outside...Luke loves the outdoors so we spend a lot of time together outside...blowing bubbles...reading books...and just "talking"...

Thanks for being patient and checking in after my almost three week absence...I should be able to post weekly during the summer AND I look forward to catching up on reading everyone else's blogs too...
