We've Got the Joy

It's hard to put into words how much I am enjoying my summer with Luke. We are getting ready to begin our fourth day of our summer adventures and I have enjoyed every single second. Being an educator has its hard days, but having these 2 months off to spend with family makes every hard moment worthwhile.

The last three days have been filled with blessings. It is such a blessing to be able to play with him during his happiest moments when he first wakes up. It's such a blessing to be able to hold him in the pool - blowing bubbles, chasing balls, catching him as he jumps, and just watching him as he plays with his toys in the baby pool. It's such a blessing to have the opportunity to sit with him as he eats breakfast, lunch, and dinner - as we laugh and talk together! It's such a blessing to have all the time in the world for him to sit in my lap while I read to him. It's such a blessing to take him to the park during the early morning hours (before it gets too hot) so he can climb and climb and climb as long as he wants. It's such a blessing to know that if we want to stay around the house in our pajamas all day long - we can! Finally, it's such a blessing to rock him at night knowing that I have another whole day with him to do whatever we want. :) These are times that I will never get back, but I will also never regret - they are special days, every one of them.

Luke and I are making so many memories that I'm going to try to post about every 2 to 3 days - so please try to keep up! :) For now, I thought I would start my summer posting with some video to show you just how much fun we are having. As you will hear in one of the videos from the Christian children's song - "I've got the joy...", Luke and I can whole heartedly say....WE HAVE THE JOY! Check it out....

Video 1: Luke riding his new scooter....he did very well with it the first day.
Video 2: Luke attempting to ride his scooter....he falls off and instead of getting back on, he starts dancing and clapping to the song, "I've got the joy...."
Video 3: Luke gets tickled at me during dinner time and just keeps laughing....it's so cute! :)

See you very soon! :)
