Luke Prays....

Okay, so I'm NOT doing well at posting pics like I thought...we have been VERY busy and in between our activities, I'm working on getting the house ready for this new baby.  But, here's a quick glimpse of one of our fun mornings....

It's been such a sweet morning with my favorite little boy - he behaved beautifully during lunch with my friend, Randi Lanier Marion. Then, quickly, picked out one small toy and a sucker from the Candy Store in Lexington and then raced me around the slides and trails at Finch Park. Such a joy! My favorite moment came while Luke was swinging - he was attentively watching a maintenance man repair a broken board on the playground. When the man began hammering the nails, without hesitation, Luke prayed out loud, "Oh, God, protect that man's fingers from getting hurt while he's hammering. Thank you. Amen." There's such a peace in knowing that your child realizes that God is always present and wants us to talk to Him and LISTEN to Him constantly. There is also peace in knowing that Luke wanted to protect this complete stranger from pain. Oh Jesus - continue to take over the heart of that precious boy you've blessed me with!

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 6:5-9

As always, thank you for stopping by!
