Landis and I had our 32 week check up for our baby girl yesterday afternoon. This visit included an ultrasound, which we looked forward to. Just as God promised, our baby girl is perfect - on her way to developing into a perfectly healthy little newborn around October 26th. She currently weighs 3 pounds, 15 ounces and is measuring a tad bit small (which is normal for this family - we are not known to create giants). :) Her heartbeat was strong, her organs were functioning normally, and her tiny face was adorable. Amazingly, from the pictures, we can already tell that she looks like Luke (which means that she looks like her daddy). The ultrasound picture looked like Luke when he is sleeping - it's crazy how you can see so much inside the womb with technology today. So...we, again, as always, give thanks to our savior, Jesus, for protecting our baby girl - for making her whole already. We continue to pray for a healthy 8 more weeks and a healthy, smooth, delivery on the day that God has designed for her birthday. As I watch these horrific events unfold across seas, I find myself in a state of overwhelming thankfulness for the protection that God has put over our family and this nation. Oh, how blessed we are - my prayer is that we all truly realize that and continue to praise God daily, hourly, minutely and seek His Will in a world of turmoil. Have a terrific Thursday!
