Pictures, Pictures, and More Pictures!

Here are a TON of pictures that I took with my phone....many of these I uploaded to Facebook but did not post here....so, just in case you want to see them....enjoy the pics!

One afternoon, our neighbor, William (who is also 3 years old), and Luke decided that they were going to stomp around in the mud in the backyard. Caren and I knew that it was only a matter of time before one of them busted their can right in the mud and guess who it was??? Yes, my Lukster!  He was covered from his rear end to his feet.  And, after getting himself out of the mud all he said was, "Mommy, I think I need to take a bath."  Yes, son, I agree!

If you just tuned in, please continue to read...I posted a conversation that Luke and I had this morning about Jesus....it's a sweet one...you will want to read it.  Have a great weekend - praying for sunshine tomorrow - I'm tired of this rain!

Childlike Faith

I posted a few things on Facebook this morning that the Lord laid on my heart...I thought I would share them on my blog too.

1st post:
Had a sweet conversation with Luke this morning about Jesus...

Luke told me that he wanted to pray for one of his trucks because it was "sick." (Gotta love that imagination.) I took this chance to remind him that we pray in the name of Jesus to be healed of any sickness because Jesus died for us and before his death was beaten so we could be healed. Luke then said, "Yeah, Mommy, those bad people were mean to Him. They ripped His clothes off." My response - yes, bud, Jesus went through all of that hurt and bad stuff for us because He loved us. Luke then said, "And He's coming to pick us up soon." My heart jumped with joy as I said...

"Yes, sweet boy, Jesus sure is coming to get us and where will He take us?" Luke said - "To Heaven with Him." Awesome - totally awesome! I'm so thankful that Luke already recognizes his blessed hope.

Now...the next lesson for my little man...while we wait on Jesus to "pick us up" - we have work to do for His Kingdom - let's grow the kingdom of God - starting right here in Thomasville. Oh Lord, may Luke always bloom where he's planted.

2nd post:
After writing that last post about my conversation with Luke about Jesus' healing and return to Earth - the Holy Spirit reminded me that Jesus said that we should have childlike faith - you know the kind of faith that never questions or doubts. Watching Luke's undoubting faith is such an inspiration to me. As adults, we resist our own healing because of the lack of faith and at times, maybe even question where Jesus really sits, but, not a child - at only 3 years old, Luke KNOWS that Jesus heals and Luke KNOWS that Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father in Heaven. He doesn't know how to waver or doubt - only to trust! That's awesome! My prayer - may we (myself included) grasp a hold of that example - full trust and faith in Jesus and His power TODAY here on Earth! What an awesome testimony this morning!

"But let him ask in faith without doubting. For the doubter is the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind." James 1:6

3rd post:

And...I'm not quite done yet...I'm just a little fired up this morning! I love the presence of God!

This awesome lesson (see previous posts) that The Lord brought to my attention this morning through my sweet 3 year old came about after I got frustrated because he woke up at 5:15am. That is usually my time with The Lord so I was selfishly perturbed. Once again, God showed up with a reminder that He doesn't always show up during our timing but He WILL show up! Lord, forgive me, for being impatient and thank You for showing up in my house and heart this morning. May I always be thankful for the blessing of that sweet little gift walking up the hallway - even if it is at 5:15am! Have an awesome day everyone - I sure will! :)
