I'm finally getting caught up on downloading some pictures.
Back in January, Luke, Landis, and I went to the Monster Truck Show in Greensboro. We had a great time. We went to the pre-show and let Luke walk around and see the BIG trucks up close and he got a chance to sit on a 4-wheeler - that made his day!
Luke's favorite part of the show was the 4 wheeler racing. In between the monster truck competition, they had several of these 4 wheeler races and Luke would sit on the edge of his seat each time. Speaking of the edge of his seat - we were fortunate and had great seats. We paid the lower price of sitting on the 2nd level but we were the first seats on the 2nd level so we had no one in front of us and you could see the whole arena perfectly. It was quite comfy - I have to say.
Luke also enjoyed watching the bulldozers and loaders that came out in between the shows to rearrange the old cars or clear debris. Yes, he liked the trucks doing the big jumps and spins but I think he was more fascinated with the in between shows. :) It was very loud so Luke, without argument, wore his ear plugs. He would remind us to put them back in for him after a break.
After the show, we went to Steak and Shake for a fun, old-fashioned late night dinner. It was almost midnight before we got home! I would do it all over again - super fun! Here are some pictures...
This was our view from our seats...
Random picture of Luke playing at home with his riding toys...he decided to close himself in. :)
We enjoyed the barely snow that we got back in January also. There might not have been much to play with but we enjoyed trying and it sure was pretty.
Luke, Taylor, and I were able to build a few snowballs to throw at the bricks on the house - not each other. :) And...we attempted to build a snowman. Taylor and I were able to get a few pieces of the snowman together and then Luke would come knock it down! :) Luke's favorite part was picking up snow with his shovel and moving it to a "pile" close by. He also, of course, enjoyed riding his 4 wheeler and lawn mower in the snow.
Here are some sweet pictures of my snow angel...
I'm not sure why these pictures load out of order! Anyway...this is a picture of Luke looking at his book, "I Wish that I Had Duck Feet." This is one of his favorite books lately and we read it all the time. I came in the living room one day and he was reading the book (by memory) to himself. It was so cute!
More snow pictures! Look at that smile!
Spending time with Daddy during all of those snow days!
More snow pictures!
One of my favorites!
After the snow melted, Luke LOVED the mud puddles - that are, matter of fact, still here thanks to all the moisture we have had this winter. :) Luke would ride his lawn mower and 4 wheeler right through the mud and laugh out loud thinking it was hilarious. One time he looked up at me and said, "This sure is fun, Mommy!" It sure was - I love watching Luke play.
Thanks for stopping by...this is the 2nd time I have posted this week so if you are visiting for the first time in awhile, keep reading.....
Enjoy this yucky Saturday!
Toddy
