A Few More Easter Pictures and a Sneak Peek to Summer

Aright...so, obviously, I am WAY behind on posting pictures to my blog...so, so sorry!  I have 12 more work days of this school year and then I hope to get caught up.  My summer to do list is already growing....

Here are the last of the pictures from Easter....

Luke dying Easter eggs with Lexi at Memaw's house....Luke did really well this year, he actually cared a little about what color they were.  He let a few sit in the die for a good while and then enjoyed getting them out to see what color they were.  Then, very quickly, his favorite part became mixing the colors together to see what crazy color the egg would be.  

We colored some eggs with markers and crayons and then died them - he liked that part. He really did have a great time and we had a great time helping him!

This year, Luke and I did our annual trip to the Tanglewood Hayride and easter egg hunt with Heather and Silas Lohr.  It was a Mommy Date kind of day and we had a blast!  Heather and I always love hanging out and the boys are super sweet together.

 One of our favorite pictures ever!!!  Luke and Silas wanted to go get sticks in the woods...and, they decided to hold hands on their way...I mean, they are "best buds" they tell us.  :)

The boys got on this tire swing and loved it.  Luke wanted to go faster and faster....SOOO fast that I think Silas was getting a little dizzy.  

 On Easter Sunday, we spent some time with my mom's side of the family at my uncle Chris and Aunt Leslie's house.  Luke loves visiting Chris and Leslie and Cidney, Christian, and Logan - there is so much to do on the Watts Farm.  Here is Luke talking to the horse and looking at the goats...

 5 of the cousins....that's only a few of them...including me, my grandparents have 13 grandchildren and great grandchildren.  We love our BIG family! :)

Like I said, I hope to catch up on my pictures soon.  Summer is almost here so I SHOULD have some more time on my hands.

Speaking of summer, I am looking forward to this summer more than any summer so far.  Luke is such a fun little boy and I know that this will be our last summer (just the two of us).  I can already tell from our trip to the pool today, that Luke and I are going to have a blast.  Today at the pool, he actually TRIED to play ball with me, WANTED to go in the pool by himself, got his own snacks from my bag, and played with the other kids very well.  His independence makes my job a little easier and opens the doors for so many other things that we can do together. 

He told me in the car on the way home from the pool today that he had a really good time and I told him that the time was about to come where we would have MANY DAYS like this one.  I told him that we would spend the summer going to the pool, visiting museums and parks, and making crafts and playing fun games at our house. Summer is a special time for me - a time that I cherish dearly SO...I can't wait to get the summer of 2013 started SOON!  12 more work days!  :)
