Finally, a TON of pictures and a quick peek at what we
have been up to this summer!
Blowing BIG BUBBLES!
Turning our living room into tunnel world!
Making a bouquet of tissue paper flowers.
This picture has a funny story behind it...Luke was
watching Super Why on TV and there were these weird looking characters called
"germs" that one the Super Why team was trying to get rid of. Luke
was sitting in the chair watching intently when all of a sudden, he jumped
straight up and said, "I'll get those germs!" and he ran back to his
room and grabbed this sword....
Playing at Safari Nation with Lexi and Memaw. This was Luke's favorite part....when the balls dropped out of the top...
We made Luke a ladybug from pipe cleaners and he was
keeping him very safe...we also made the ladybug her own nest.
Painting with Daddy....
Building a lego tower with Taylor...it was taller than us!
Luke and Daddy bonding with ice cream....
We spent the day at the Durham Museum of Life and Science....it was hot, we were tired, but, we had a GREAT TIME!
Luke LOVED looking at the huge beetles and other bugs...
I love this pose....I wish I knew what Luke was saying but I have no idea....
Luke wanted to play dress up with his Mickey costume....
And, he played in a box...
We played at Chuck E Cheese with Memaw, Lexi, and Lauren...
Luke and Silas had plenty of play time together at Heather's baby shower that I helped to host...
We had a great time celebrating Mammaw's 75th birthday on Chris and Leslie's farm.
Luke was pretending to eat crackers like Cookie Monster...
Nothing sweeter than a sleeping toddler..
Luke and I spent one morning playing at Finch Park....we had races, swung for a long time, and chased each other up the slides.
On one of the many rainy days, we made Teddy Bear bread....
And, I let Luke spray paint an old sheet...
We celebrated July 4th at Granny's house...
We have read A LOT! One night, we took a trip to Barnes and Nobles and Luke bought this little Mercer Mayer book about a big brother and a little sister. We read it so many times that he has it memorized. One morning, I found him in the chair reading it all by himself. It was so sweet!
Luke decided to make his own bunk bed!
And....with all the rain, Luke finds plenty of mud puddles around our house...he played in one the other day for an hour!
We are having a ton of fun, y'all - the summer is flying by but we are cherishing every moment! :)
Hope to post more pictures soon!
