All By Himself!!! Choo, choo!

Okay...so if you remember, I mentioned in my last post that Luke had met a milestone....well, I can't wait to tell and show you his accomplishment, but, first, some wedding pictures.....

My cousin, Erin, married her boyfriend, Stephen, last weekend outdoors in Greensboro. It was a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding - the ceremony was quick and beautiful. Then, because our family is full of youngsters, the wedding reception was held at Gibson Park at the shelter right beside the ball fields and the playground. So, Luke had a blast as he ran around and played with his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. This was one of those days that it was nice to be from a large family - there's more people to play with! :)

Check out the pics...

Luke with his great grandaddy - waiting on food!

Luke with his cousins, Sydney and Logan, and his "aunt" Lexi....
Luke posing for a picture! Notice he has the rose petals that were thrown on the ground - he walked around after the ceremony and picked them up.
We tried to keep him in the stroller during the ceremony, but that didn't last long. :) Here he is with his memaw and Lexi after he pitched a fit in the stroller...
Pitching a fit trying to get down to run around....ceremony hasn't even started yet. :)
The quiet small moment in the stroller before the ceremony.
Okay....so, now on to the milestone....here it is....Luke RODE A CARNIVAL RIDE ALL BY HIMSELF!!! Isn't he sweet?
Luke has ridden the carousel with me several times, but this was different. Luke and I went to Spring Folly in Kernersville last weekend. It was a gorgeous morning and the carnival was great! They had the cutest rides and a petting zoo. Luke was big enough to ride the little train you saw there all by himself and he did great! He didn't try to get up any of the 3 times that he rode it! I, on the other hand, was a bit nervous at first, and then, a little sad that my baby is now big enough and independent enough to ride all by himself. As you will see in the video at the bottom and more pics later, he absolutely loved it!

In between rides, Luke and I split a large pretzel. We were next to the bands that were playing so Luke decided to break out some dance moves....here's the proof...

Eating our pretzel...

On the train again!
He's just chilling...so relaxed....
At the petting zoo...

Here are few random pics that I took at home last week...
Did you like that hairdo???? Here he is "melting" down from the chair with daddy..
Playing in his tunnel with his favorite stuffed animal, Curious George...

He pushes everything into his tunnel....here is his shopping cart in his tunnel...
Dialing up his buddies....:)
Grocery shopping...

Playing with Max through the glass door...

Trying to get his own paci...

Look at that tough man...

Riding in his car....do you see how he has his feet propped up???? He's in one of two moods all the time - just chilling or WIDE OPEN!

Calling his buddies AGAIN!!
And, finally, the video of his train ride!!! All by himself!! You have to watch closely because he's on the side nearest the grass ....he's in the first seat of the second car...wearing orange! :) This isn't the best video - I took the best video on my big camera, which doesn't post to the blog!

Coming soon: video proof my little man feeding himself - finally! We had the most fun tonight eating dinner with him! He was so happy and did so well eating with his spoon - stay tuned for the video....

Have a great week everyone - I dread Mondays! :)

FYI: I often begin posting pictures a few days before I actually type the words in the blog - if you have been paying close attention, you will notice that the blog shows the date I started the post and not the date that I posted it. For example, it's Sunday night and I started posting pics on Friday night (and saved my work to a draft). Hopefully that doesn't confuse you too much! :)
