One Full Weekend!

So....first of all....there's a picture of our new dining room table that was delivered this week. We had a glass table and it was not "toddler friendly" so we are pleased with this very nice, more sturdy dining room table. We ate together on it Wednesday night for the first time. I look forward to many more family gatherings at this table. :)

Now...

Last weekend was a fun for weekend for me, Luke, and Landis! We went on all kinds of adventures. On the rainy Saturday, we visited SciWorks in Winston and then on the beautiful sunny Sunday, we visited the zoo (for a few hours) and then Luke and I went back to the City Lake playground to climb and slide Sunday evening before dinner.

Check out the pictures of our FULL weekend, and then don't forget to stay tuned to the 16 month with the FULL belly of green beans - I posted some video of Luke feeding himself - finally! He's doing so much better at this! Check it all out....

Here's a sneak peek of the green bean eating session, the video is at the bottom.

Some pictures I took at City Lake Park in Jamestown...

A few pictures from the zoo trip....

And, our SciWorks adventure....Luke had a great time at SciWorks! His favorite part was the fishing pond...here he is with one of the fish he "caught" - he is actually standing in front of the parrot cage making a bird sound....:)
I chased him around with a hand puppet that looked like a raccoon....this is him running from me totally giggling out loud...

still running with the fish from the pond...
There's the raccoon...

Notice the 2 items????

For some reason, after he caught the two fish, he carried around behind his back up and down the hill you see here. I just wonder sometimes what he's thinking....any ideas???

Wrong end of the pole....

Making silly faces and sounds...
Running up and down the twisty hill....it's interesting what babies like to play with - he was more thrilled with this twisty, turning ramp than he was hands on exhibits...:)

And, now the green bean eating video....Luke is doing well eating with a spoon....he still doesn't use one hand consistently....he switches hands and, as you will see, sometimes uses two hands....check it out...

I hope to see you for a mid-week post....I have a TON of pictures to post and some things to write about....I'm keeping a list and the list keeps getting longer.....coming soon - pictures from our trip to Lazy 5 Ranch that we took this morning and some journaling on mine and Luke's living room dance parties with Luke's favorite songs....I hope to get some video of Luke doing the teapot song....I can't ever tell when he's going to do it....I'll try my best....keep your fingers crossed....enjoy the beautiful weekend.....see you soon!
