Sing Until the Whole World Hears

I sit here in my car typing this blog - on my way to workout, the Lord laid some thoughts on my heart that I felt I needed to share.  Throughout my studies and prayer this week and the messages at church, I keep hearing the word "timing."  There are numerous avenues I could take with what I am hearing - for instance, this "time" of year usually causes me anxiety, stress, unsettledness, worry because of the approaching school year. I usually begin worrying about all of the things that I need to do for work and I start dreading going back to work because I miss Luke so badly after spending the whole summer with him but, thanks to God, this year is different. I have such a peace about the approaching school year.  The peace comes from me knowing that I have a purpose to fulfill and to do that I have to be in the schools with staff, parents, and students in order to fulfill my purpose and you know what? I'm excited about that!  I have humbled myself to a different position - what some may call a lower position (and, yes, in terms of authority, it is a lower position) but I am proud of the direction I am heading - I have placed myself back in the halls working with the staff members that have students with them 6 hours a day - the ones that take hours of work home each night - I am super excited about supporting these teachers in a different way!  :)

Yesterday, I visited Fair Grove and Welcome - two places with people and staff members that have meant a lot to me in the past 5 years. I also spent last night talking to a dear friend from Friedberg about some things she is going through in her life.  All day, my years as a school administrator and the people that I have been able to work with and spend time with flashed before my eyes and the thoughts of God's perfect timing and purpose came to my mind. I have met and worked with a lot of people and I have managed to hold on to great, positive, long lasting relationships with many of these people and it is all because God put us all together in the same place for a reason - because we needed each other then and still do now.  I say all this to say - we all have a circle of influence - whether big or small - that God has put into place. We have to think about that circle of influence and what God's purpose in putting those people into our lives was.  I'm still figuring all of that out - day by day - but, for now, the simplest thing I can do for each of these relationships is to love Jesus in front of them and with them and, together, we can fulfill God's purpose.

Gang - it is TIME for Christians (lovers of Jesus) to use our circle of influence to stand up for Jesus.  At church on Sunday, Pete focused his entire message on how the USA is in trouble - BIG TROUBLE. If Christians do not start taking a BOLD STAND (which includes knowing the truth and walking in it everyday), our country could fall.  Some of the things Pete shared was this - the USA is falling because it was a country founded with leaders who believed in God and His purpose.  We have always been the most blessed nation because we were focused on God and we were not ashamed of Him.  Our founders warned us many years ago to stay focused on God in order to keep our nation strong. Unfortunately, that is not happening. Yes, our nation is still overwhelmingly filled with Christians; however, the Christians are standing by the side lines and watching everyone else (with immoral causes) have a louder voice.  Why is this? The USA was founded based on the Word of God - it should remain the focus of our lives!  The ONLY hope for our nation is for individuals to turn back to God - for individuals to read and study the Bible daily and talk with God daily and then use what God and the Bible say to them and fulfill God's purpose.  I am trying hard to do just that - I'm not perfect and I have a long way to go but today, right now, I'm praying that individuals all over the world turn their focus back to God.  Gang - I'm not a great writer - I do my best to share my heart - some people like reading what I write and some don't.  Please, if you feel that this blog touches your heart and is a good means of sharing God's love with others - PLEASE share the address with people you know.  God wants to use what I am learning and what He is teaching me through this blog - help me do this because NOW IS THE TIME! Our Nation needs us and most importantly, God needs us!

In November, every American will make the most important election decision that has ever been made. Our current President says that we are not a Christian nation.  He refused to support a Christian day of prayer but attended Muslim ceremonies.  He is very close to turning his back on Israel, which is against what the Bible teaches. Matter of fact, it says that if you turn your back on Israel, your nation will not stand.  We will all be held accountable to God one day.  Everyone will bow to Jesus in the end - even President Obama, whether he believes it or not.  Why not bow to Jesus now and do what is right for our Nation?  Do NOT re-elect President Obama - he is anti-Jesus and that makes me anti-Obama.

As a mother, I have to look out for the future of my son and I fear the kind of future Luke may have if President Obama has 4 more years in the Oval office. Quite frankly, I don't know how any mother in America could vote for Obama in November and then peacefully rest knowing that's the future she chose for her child. Obama is for big government, less individual rights and less individual rights could lead to less freedom in religion - he is destroying our nation, taking our rights slowly and in a sneaky manner - it's time for a change, yes, I said it, we need a CHANGE, a positive one - it's not too late - NOW IS THE TIME!

Join me in prayer for our Nation - the United States of America - the best country in the world! And, join me in prayer for individuals all over the world to get closer to God!  That's the only way we can make a difference!  We have to "Sing Until the Whole World Hears - JESUS"!

Thanks for reading!

My thoughts continued....as I ran on the treadmill this morning (after typing the first part of this blog) some more thoughts on purpose and timing came to my mind. I just finished reading the book in the Bible, Esther.  It is a short book in the Old Testament with only 10 chapters. I had never read this book until several days ago and I'm not sure why - it is a great example of God's perfect timing and how we are all put on Earth for a purpose.  I encourage you to read it. God placed Esther in a certain position at a certain time for "such a time as this."  I have asked myself and now I ask you, "Are you in a certain position for such a time as this?"  If so, like Esther, pray that God will show you your purpose in that position and then stand boldly in that purpose, be brave, and see what God can do!
