Last Few Days of 2

I had a few days off of work during the last few days of Luke as a 2 year old - as a result, we had a blast spending time together.

We took some time to build a gingerbread house - we were very unsuccessful.  I had a problem getting the walls up the right way and then when I finally got the walls up, Luke added so much icing to the roof that it collapsed.  Luke and I laughed and laughed at each other and our house. We made some fun memories. Check out our....not so strong gingerbread house....

Love these faces...you can tell that the house is about to cave in....oh me!

After the gingerbread house collapsed, Luke ate a ton of the candy....as a result, he went WILD on his sugar high.  He ran around the house throwing a ball while singing "Here Comes Santa Claus."  Here's a video of his singing debut....notice he messes the words up pretty bad and then tells "Daddy" that he just taught him the words....it's great! :)

During the last few days of Luke as a 2 year old - we had one day of family fun - we started with over an hour of snuggle time in Luke's bed - for some reason, he just wanted to snuggle and read so that's exactly what we did. He would wrap his tiny arms around me over and over and give me kisses. I loved every second of it. Then, Landis and I went to Luke's Christmas party at school to watch Luke sing Jingle Bells and Happy Birthday to Jesus.  We also joined him for a snack and I led the class in a craft. Here are a few pictures of that fun family event...

Here is a video of Luke's class singing Happy Birthday to Jesus. It's quite precious.  :)

After the Christmas party, we headed to the local barbershop...

Ms. Paula was out of town so a different lady cut Luke's hair. Daddy didn't like it so....as a result....here we have Luke's first trip to the Barbershop!

Then, we had lunch at Chick Fil A and Luke and Daddy shared a milkshake...

And, finally....we spent the evening listening to Daddy and Papa Donnie and Howard sing at Granny's retirement center. Here are a few pictures of that event...

Fun, fun times!  :)  I hope to post pictures of Luke's birthday celebration with family only December 21st and then his celebration with a ton of friends and family on the 29th. He celebrated for over a week - it's been great!

Happy New Year!
