Some thoughts on my heart this morning....
Today and everyday, I am thanking and praising the Lord that I am saved not because I am "good enough" and not because of the good works that I do but ONLY because of my faith in Jesus Christ as the savior who died for my sins. That faith is not wavering but ABSOLUTELY CONVINCING! Yesterday at church, our pastor (referring to scripture) shared this explanation of salvation - we can't perform good enough to be saved so we have to join with the only person who has ever been good enough - that is God's son, Jesus. When we join with Jesus, God sees Jesus when He looks at us and, therefore, we are made righteous in the eyes of God - we become a friend of God. Thank you, Lord, for this awesome reminder and for sending your Son to die for me. REJOICING the Lord today and everyday!
Romans 5: 1-2 "Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by FAITH, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our FAITH, Christ has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and JOYFULLY look forward to sharing God's glory."
Toddy? No, not the drink...instead, a nickname from long ago that led to my interest in sharing my thoughts with anyone who wanted to listen.
